Exclusive: Matthew Wright rejoins Taurex as a non executive Director
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that experienced FX and CFDs industry executive Matthew Wright has had something of a homecoming, rejoining Taurex Limited as a Non Executive Director.
Matthew Wright served as Group CEO of Taurex, then known as Zenfinex, from 2021-2023, before leaving to become COO of rival online brokerage group Exinity. Matthew was also previously CEO of Capital Index, and held senior management roles at Destek Markets, Gain Capital (Forex.com and City Index), and Refco.
Since leaving Exinity last year, Matthew set up Semoto (website semoto.io), helping brokers source and manage digital asset liquidity. Matthew’s “full time job” is CEO of Semoto Prime, operating as a boutique desk for professional and institutional clients who need reliable execution and real operational support around it.
FNG spoke with Taurex CEO Nick Cooke, who said,
“I’m delighted to welcome Matt back to Taurex as a Non-Executive Director. Having worked with Matt previously, it’s a real privilege for our team to collaborate with him again.
“Matt brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and a deep understanding of our industry, all of which will be incredibly valuable as we continue strengthening our foundations and scaling the business. His perspective will play an important role in helping guide Taurex through its next phase of growth and maturity.”
Taurex recently received a $40 million capital injection led by major shareholder Oscar Hilt Tatum IV. The brand is operated by several licensed subsidiaries including in the UK, UAE, and Seychelles.
