FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Irene Guiamatsia has left her position as Head of Research at Australia based online trading industry research firm Investment Trends, to return to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the country’s financial regulator. Her new role at ASIC will be Senior Executive Leader – Intelligence.

Irene Guiamatsia, who is based in Sydney, previously spent two years at ASIC (2019-2021) where she was Senior Specialist – Market Supervision, before joining Investment Trends as Head of Research, a position she held for the past four years. She had also previously worked at Investment Trends from 2013-2019, in various research related roles.

Irene holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a B.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
