Exclusive: Former Vantage UK CEO David Shayer joining EXANTE (LHCM)
FNG Exclusive… It looks like EXANTE UK is getting ready to re-open for business.
Following our report from earlier today that LHCM Ltd, the (now restricted) FCA licensed arm of Retail FX and CFDs broker EXANTE, had added compliance expert and longtime Grant Thornton Financial Services Advisory director Steven Clews to its Board, FNG has learned that EXANTE is bringing on board David Shayer, to act as CEO of the UK business. He will also join the board of LHCM Ltd.
David Shayer served as CEO of Vantage UK, the FCA regulated arm of another online broker, from 2019 until departing the company earlier this year, among other changes at Vantage. David also oversaw the group’s Vantage Connect institutional offering.
The hirings of David Shayer and Steven Clews would seem to indicate that LHCM / EXANTE UK is ramping up to re-start operations in the not distant future. EXANTE UK had its FCA license restricted in December 2025, from which time it has not been allowed to accepting any new monies or assets from existing clients, or to onboard any new clients.
EXANTE and LHCM are controlled by Malta based Latvian entrepreneur Gatis Eglitis.
