Restricted EXANTE UK unit LHCM adds Grant Thornton alum Steven Clews to its Board
FNG has learned that LHCM Ltd, the FCA regulated UK arm of online brokerage group EXANTE, has added Steven Clews to its Board as a Non Executive Director.
LHCM has had its operation restricted since December 2025 by the UK regulator. The restrictions include not accepting any new monies or assets from existing clients. LHCM must also not onboard any new clients, without the prior written consent of the FCA.
Steven Clews spent 10 years with the UK arm of global accounting and consulting firm Grant Thornton, serving as Director of the firm’s Financial Services Advisory business until leaving in October 2025. He now runs a specialist regulatory consulting service, with a focus on FCA regulated firms holding Client Assets (CASS) or safeguarding.
EXANTE and LHCM are controlled by Malta based Latvian entrepreneur Gatis Eglitis.
