FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Israel based, social trading focused Retail FX and CFDs broker eToro has beefed up the management team at its FCA licensed arm eToro UK, hiring Simon Cole as Head of Finance UK.

Simon Cole joins eToro after spending the past two years as CFO of Finveo UK. As FNG also exclusively reported last month, CFDs broker Finveo gave up its FCA license, and will no longer be operating in the UK market. Finveo UK was set up in 2018 and received its FCA license in early 2020. The company is a subsidiary of Turkish firm Inveo Investment (IST:INVEO), which is controlled by Turkish businessman Erhan Topac.

Prior to joining Finveo, Simon had previously worked in various Finance related roles at ADSS, and at CMC Markets.

eToro, which tried to go public last year, has seen its valuation plummet in recent private secondary sales of eToro shares.
