Exclusive: Finalto Chairman Paul Hearn and Director Dan George depart
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that the leading two independent members of Finalto’s board of directors, Paul Hearn and Dan George, have left the company and their respective positions on the board.
The moves come amid a number of senior management changes this year at leading prime broker and liquidity solutions provider Finalto, which began in January with the resignation of CEO Matthew Maloney. That was followed by the departures of COO Stanislav Bunimovich, R&D head Mikkel Kallerup Olsen, and longtime Finalto and Markets.com senior market analyst Neil Wilson, who has since joined Saxo Bank.
FNG received the following comment from an official Finalto spokesperson on the matter,
“Following recent internal changes at Finalto, Paul Hearn and Dan George have parted ways with the company. We appreciate their contributions and wish them success in their future endeavours.”
Paul Hearn has served as Chairman of Finalto since 2021. He first joined the board of Finalto predecessor company Safecap Investments in 2016, where he also served as Chairman. Paul was Global Head of Fixed Income Origination and Distribution at BNP Paribas in London from 2000 to 2009, after working for 15 years at JP Morgan.
Dan George served as a Non-Executive Director at Finalto since 2019. He was previously Global Head of Trading and Research at City Index.
