FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Maria Shenouda has left her position as Sales Director at MENA focused Retail FX and CFDs broker Daman Markets.

Maria Shenouda joined Daman Markets in Dubai in early 2025 as Vice President of Sales, as was also reported exclusively at the time here at FNG. She was promoted to Sales Director at the beginning of 2026. Prior to Daman Markets, Maria spent six years at StoneX (NASDAQ:SNEX), operator of the Forex.com and City Index online trading brands, serving as a Senior High-Net-Worth Client Relationship Manager out of Dubai, as well as Associate Director Global Business – Relationship Management. She had also previously worked for two years as a Relationship Manager for Swissquote.

We’d note that another senior Daman Markets sales executive, Hassan Ibrahim, left the company back in May.

Daman Markets, based in Dubai and licensed by the UAE’s CMA, was launched as a new UAE/GCC focused MT5 CFDs broker in 2023, spun out of UAE based financial services company Daman Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daman Investments, which is part of UAE business conglomerate Gargash Group. Daman Markets is run by former Advanced Markets executive Samer Mourched.

After a valuable chapter at Daman Markets, I’ve decided to take the next step in my professional journey.

My time at Daman Markets gave me the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, develop a strong team, work closely with exceptional clients and partners, and gain a different perspective on the UAE financial markets.

Like every professional chapter, it came with its successes, challenges, and valuable lessons. Some experiences remind you of what you are capable of achieving.

I am particularly grateful to the people I had the privilege of working with ,colleagues, clients, partners, and industry peers. The relationships built along the way are, without a doubt, one of the most valuable parts of any career journey.

Most importantly, I am genuinely excited about what lies ahead. The next chapter brings new challenges, new opportunities, and a chance to build on everything I have learned throughout my career. I am looking forward to sharing more very soon.
