FNG has learned that Hassan Ibrahim, Sales Director at Dubai based Retail FX and CFDs broker Daman Markets, has left the company.

Hassan Ibrahim had been with Daman Markets for two years, joining the broker soon after it was launched in 2023. Prior roles for Hassan included Head of Business Development at BDSwiss, Head of Sales – MENA at Pepperstone, and work as a Sales Trader for Arabic language markets at IG Group.

Daman Markets, based in Dubai and licensed by the UAE’s CMA, was launched as a new UAE/GCC focused MT5 CFDs broker in 2023, spun out of UAE based financial services company Daman Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daman Investments, which is part of UAE business conglomerate Gargash Group. Daman Markets is run by former Advanced Markets executive Samer Mourched.

Hassan posted the following note on LinkedIn regarding his departure from Daman, and what’s next.

Like all good chapters, my time at Daman Markets has come to an end.

I leave with real appreciation for the people I worked with, the challenges we took on, and the progress we made together. I am proud of what was achieved during my time there and grateful for the relationships, lessons, and experiences that came with it.

To my team specifically: thank you. Your drive, resilience, humour, and commitment made even the most demanding periods worthwhile. I am proud of what we built together, and I will genuinely miss working with you.

After more than a decade in the industry, I have decided to take a focused period to work on a number of entrepreneurial and personal projects that have been sitting in the background for some time. Many of these are connected to financial markets, the region, and longer-term ideas that I now want to give proper attention to.

This will involve regional travel, so I will be looking forward to seeing new and old faces. It will also include a trip to my ancestral lands in Iraq, where I would be breaking ground on my long awaited olive grove project.
