FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that leading Dubai based online brokerage firm CFI Financial Group has hired Francois du Plessis as CEO of CFI South Africa. CFI received a South Africa FSCA license in mid 2024, and launched operations in the country later that year.

Francois du Plessis replaces Zihaad Israfil in the role of CEO South Africa for CFI. Zihaad had headed CFI’s South Africa operation since its launch.

Francois du Plessis joins CFI after working for the past two years for ATFX, serving as Market Analyst for ATFX Africa. He has also previously worked at South Africa based regulatory hosting, licensing, and compliance services provider CAEP Group, and at CFDs broker HFM, where he was Country Head – South Africa.
