FNG has learned that Denmark’s leading bank Danske Bank has promoted Jakob Beck Thomsen to the position of SVP, Global Head of SME FX & TxB (Transaction Banking) Sales.

Jakob Beck Thomsen joined Danske Bank in Copenhagen in 2017, to set up June.dk, the first Robo-advisor launched by a major regional bank in Europe. He was named promoted to the title of Senior Vice President in 2018 and named as Global Head of Customer Engagement. For the past year he headed a special project for Danske called Commercial Excellence, which sought to optimize and enable the commercial potential of the bank.

Mr. Beck Thomsen joined Danske Bank after 15 years at Retail FX broker Saxo Bank. At various time at Saxo he headed Saxo Capital Markets Menkul Değerler A.Ş., the firm’s Turkey operation, as well as acting as Executive Director, Regional Head MENASA & CEO of Saxo Bank Dubai Ltd.
