Coinbase parts ways with CPO Surojit Chatterjee
Coinbase Global, Inc announces that Surojit Chatterjee, the company’s Chief Product Officer, will step down as CPO, effective November 30, 2022. Coinbase expects that Mr. Chatterjee will continue to serve Coinbase in an advisory role through at least February 3, 2023.
Coinbase says it is grateful for Mr. Chatterjee’s contributions throughout his employment at Coinbase, including his leadership in building Coinbase’s product organization and launching products in aim of increasing economic freedom in the world.
In connection with Mr. Chatterjee’s resignation, Coinbase’s product, engineering and design teams are being reorganized within a product group structure under which the leaders of such groups will assume responsibility for Coinbase’s product offerings.
Surojit Chatterjee has served as our Chief Product Officer since February 2020. From February 2017 to February 2020, Mr. Chatterjee served as Vice President of Product Management for Google Shopping at Google LLC, a multinational technology company and a subsidiary of Alphabet, Inc., a holding company.
Mr Chatterjee served as Senior Vice President and Head of Product at Flipkart Internet Private Limited, an e-commerce company, from October 2015 to February 2017. Before Flipkart, Mr. Chatterjee held various positions at Google, including Global Head of Product, Mobile Search Ads and AdSense for Search and Senior Product Manager, Mobile Search Ads, and served as Senior Product Manager at Symantec Corporation, a cybersecurity software and services company.
Mr Chatterjee holds a B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, an M.S. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and an M.B.A from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
