Broadridge names Theo Golden its Head of Tokenized Product, International
Fintech company Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE:BR) today announced the appointment of Theo Golden, CFA as Head of Tokenized Product, International, a newly created role.
Mr Golden will lead tokenized product development across Broadridge’s international markets, helping global clients adopt compliant, interoperable digital asset solutions at scale.
“Tokenization is moving mainstream, and clients need infrastructure that can make tokenized products work compliantly at scale,” said Mark Nichols, Co-President, Digital Assets, Broadridge. “Theo combines deep experience in traditional finance with a proven ability to build first-of-its-kind tokenized products in a regulated environment. His client perspective and product expertise will be instrumental as we extend Broadridge’s digital asset leadership to international markets.”
Mr Golden will focus on designing, building and bringing to market tokenized products across capital markets, funds and tokenized assets. He will also support Corporate Development with mergers and acquisitions and strategic venture investment activity in digital assets.
“I am excited to join Broadridge at a pivotal time for tokenization,” said Theo Golden, CFA, Head of Tokenized Product, International, Broadridge. “Global markets are moving quickly as frameworks for tokenized funds and securities evolve. Broadridge is exceptionally well positioned to deliver the trusted, resilient and interoperable infrastructure clients need to move from experimentation to real-world adoption. I look forward to helping build solutions that address tangible client needs and unlock the promise of global, 24/7 market rails.”
Theo Golden joins Broadridge from Baillie Gifford, where he served as Head of Digital Assets and built the firm’s digital asset capability from the ground up. He designed its digital asset strategy, operating model and key external relationships, and launched Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield (BAGEY), the United Kingdom’s first fully native tokenized fund. Issued on Ethereum and Solana, BAGEY uses on-chain books and records as the legal source of truth while maintaining investor protections, governance and ownership rights.
Prior to leading digital assets, Mr Golden co-managed Baillie Gifford’s Strategic Bond Fund and worked as a multi-asset investment analyst. A CFA charterholder, he brings direct buy-side portfolio management experience and an understanding of the operational friction investors face across dealing, settlement, servicing and reporting. Earlier in his career, he worked in journalism at Business Insider, Bloomberg and Acuris.
Theo Golden’s appointment supports Broadridge’s next phase of digital asset innovation, extending its expertise beyond repo into funds, assets, capital markets and trading for clients worldwide. Based in London, he reports to Nichols and will work closely with Germán Soto Sanchez, Co-President and Chief Product Officer, Digital Assets; Horacio Barakat, Head of Digital Innovation; Seha Islam, General Manager for Digital Asset Platform and On-chain Governance; Mike Sleightholme, President, International and Asset Management; and teams across Broadridge’s platform pillars, business units and engineering organization.
