Tommy Bain elected as Chairman of LME Warehouse Committee
Marex’s Head Warrant Trader, Tommy Bain, has been elected as Chairman of the London Metal Exchange (LME) Warehouse Committee.
This represents all 28 LME registered warehouse companies worldwide (America, South Korea, Japan, UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Sweden, UK, and the Netherlands).
Marex is one of the largest and best resourced metals teams in the world and is a leading broker on the LME, as well as being a Category One member.
Tommy Bain joined Marex in mid 2021 from Engelhart, where he ran the aluminium hedge book and prop trading. He has over 30 years’ experience in the metals industry, having worked for the likes of Barclays, Sucden and Credit Lyonnais and was a ring trader in 1993. He started at Refco in September 1990.
