Cboe Options Exchange to extend Curb trading session to Early-Close trading days for GTH-eligible multi-listed equity options
Effective trade date November 16, 2026, Cboe Options Exchange (C1) will extend its existing Curb trading session to trading days with an early Regular Trading Hours (RTH) close, specifically half-days and the day after Thanksgiving, for Global Trading Hours (GTH)-eligible multi-listed equity options.
Currently, C1 does not offer a Curb session on early-closing trading days. On the effective date, C1 will add a Curb session on half-days and the day after Thanksgiving for GTH-eligible multi-listed equity options only. On these days, RTH for these options will end at 1:00 p.m. ET, followed by a Curb session from 1:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. ET, the same 15-minute length as on regular trading days.
No other products are affected. RTH for all other options will continue to end at 1:15 p.m. ET with no Curb session. This includes GTH-eligible ETF options and Cboe proprietary index options.
This functionality will be available to test in the C1 certification environment on November 13, 2026, which is a C1 certification half day. The environment will be available for Curb Trading from 1:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. ET.
