Cboe Europe announces improvements to timestamp granularity
Cboe Europe has informed its participants of changes that will be introduced as part of the MiFIR Review.
Following the adoption of Commission Delegated Regulation 1155/2025/EU, which sets new business clocks synchronisation standards (and repeals Commission Delegated Regulation 574/2017/EU, referred to as RTS 25), effective Monday, 2 March 2026, Cboe plans to introduce nanosecond-level precision throughout its trading systems to increase event timing accuracy and meet new regulatory technical standards.
These changes will be available in the relevant Certification (UAT) environments on Monday, 9 February 2026.
