Huobi Global to restrict NZ users in respect of trading in derivatives
Crypto firm Huobi Global will be including New Zealand as a restricted jurisdiction in respect of trading in derivatives, and restrict New Zealand user accounts for derivatives trading.
On 23 August 2022 at 00:00 (NZST), the user agreement will be updated to include New Zealand as a restricted jurisdiction. The firm will be restricting the derivatives trading services of all New Zealand-based users on the same day.
- Huobi Global will cease intake of users with New Zealand KYC and IP addresses effective from 23 August 2022.
- Huobi Global will disallow New Zealand-based users who do not hold any derivative positions from opening new positions effective from 23 August 2022.
- Huobi Global will only allow New Zealand-based users to close out active positions effective from 23 August 2022.
The derivative trading services include: (i) coin-margined futures; (ii) coin-margined swaps; (iii) USDT-margined contracts; (iv) options; and (v) Exchange Traded Products (ETP).
Huobi Global can no longer provide derivatives trading services for New Zealand-based users.
