eToro enables full copy trading experience in the Netherlands
Online broker eToro has provided an update to traders regarding its operations in the Netherlands.
Last week, eToro relaunched its crypto offering in the Netherlands. Now, all eToro users in the Netherlands can Copy Trade, if they wish to, with the full experience.
Any new crypto positions opened by Popular Investors from July 19th, 2021 will be automatically copied, providing they meet the minimum order size of $1. If a Popular Investor opens a CFD crypto position, your copied position will also be CFD.
Also, all 59 CopyPortfolios on the platform are available to investors from the Netherlands.
Any crypto positions opened by a Popular Investor between January and July 2021 (i.e., when crypto services were not available in the Netherlands) were not replicated for Dutch copiers and will not be opened retroactively.
If you wish to align your portfolio with that of your Popular Investor, you will need to close your copy trade and then reinvest with them, selecting “copy all open trades”. The existing open positions will be opened in the copier’s account with the market rates available at the time of copying (not the rates at which the original trades were opened).
Please check if your Popular Investor is open to new copiers before closing your existing position. If you close a position with Jaynemisis or JeppeKirkBlonde, who have both reached the maximum amount of capital allowed to copy them, you will be unable to open a new position.
