eToro adds Solana to crypto offering
Online trading company eToro today announced further expansion of its lineup of cryptoassets. Solana (SOL) is now available on the eToro investment platform.
The SOL token is a scalable crypto created for the Solana blockchain that is capable of almost 50,000 transactions per second. Investors are chosen to become proof-of-stake holders based on the number of SOL currently held.
The launch of Solana brings the total number of cryptoassets available on eToro to 32.
Traders now have access to SOL, alongside BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, XRP, DASH, ETC, ADA, XLM, EOS, NEO, TRON, ZEC, BNB, XTZ, LINK, UNI, COMP, AAVE, YFI, MANA, ALGO, MATIC, BAT, MKR, ENJ, FIL, DOT, and MIOTA.
For now, these new assets are not being launched in the US. Let’s note that cryptoasset investing is unregulated in some EU countries and the UK.
Last week, eToro announced the addition of Filecoin (FIL) and Polkadot (DOT) to its cryptocurrency offering. In July, the company added MAKER (MKR) and ENJIN (ENJ) to the list of cryptoassets available to trade via its investment platform.
