CoinShares announces listing of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs on Hargreaves Lansdown
CoinShares PLC (NASDAQ:CSHR), a global asset manager specialising in digital assets, announced that Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs have listed on Hargreaves Lansdown, one of the UK’s leading investment and savings platforms.
The physically-backed ETPs are available to Hargreaves Lansdown’s investors today, making CoinShares’ LSE-listed crypto products available to the platform’s two million retail investors for the first time, through a regulated and familiar framework.
Hargreaves Lansdown is the UK’s largest retail investment platform to list CoinShares’ crypto ETPs, marking a significant step for regulated digital asset investment in the UK. CoinShares’ Bitcoin ETP (ticker: BITC) and Ethereum ETP (ticker: ETHE) were both launched in 2021 and are listed on SIX Swiss Exchange, Börse Xetra, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Milan, and the London Stock Exchange. Both securities are physically backed by an institutional grade custodian, which means investors have the option to redeem their securities directly from the product.
The UK regulatory environment has shifted decisively in favour of regulated digital asset investment, from the FCA’s decision to lift the retail ban on crypto ETPs in October 2025 and the launch of the FCA’s simplified crypto framework last month. Platforms are increasingly answering calls to provide regulated access to crypto investment products, enabling a larger pool of investors to achieve portfolio diversification.
Jean-Marie Mognetti, Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of CoinShares, said:
“We are committed to digital asset investment being accessible to all investors through familiar, regulated structures. This milestone partnership with Hargreaves Lansdown means real diversification will be possible for retail investors looking to balance their portfolios with a truly alternative asset class. A strong digital asset ecosystem, open to all, is finally reaching the UK.”
