It looks like Super Bowl prediction markets trading is going to be a hot ticket this year.

Webull Financial LLC, the US arm of neobroker Webull Corp (NASDAQ:BULL), has thrown its hat in the ring with Webull US CEO Anthony Denier announcing in a social media post that Webull is introducing $0 commission trading on prediction markets related to what he calls the “Big Game”. (As Webull isn’t a Super Bowl sponsor, he can’t use the actual phrase).

The prediction markets offer is on event contracts traded on Webull and supplied by Kalshi.

We would remind FNG readers that Super Bowl betting via prediction markets were around last year, but some of the financial brokers offering them were still a little more careful (and, frankly, timid) about stepping on the toes of sports books, some of which do a good portion of their yearly business around a limited number of events, one of which is the Super Bowl.

Webull competitor Robinhood introduced Super Bowl event contracts last year, but quickly pulled them under pressure from financial regulators, who in turn came under pressure from some of the larger state sports betting regulators.

This year, however, we expect more robust Super Bowl prediction markets trading at several brokers and prediction market purveyors, with brokers seemingly more comfortable in offering all manner of prediction markets trading.

The Super Bowl is the most heavily bet-on sports event of the year in North America, and globally trails only the UK’s The Grand National horse race.
