OANDA Japan Inc, a subsidiary of online broker OANDA Corporation, today published a notice to its clients regarding the cancellation of certain accounts.

The broker explained that it regularly cancels accounts that have not been used for a long time, in accordance with OANDA Securities OTC Derivatives Trading Terms and Conditions Article 33 (Cancellation).

Accounts that have not been traded for more than two years and have no balance were canceled on May 19, 2025. Affected customers will receive emails to their registered email addresses from May 20 onwards.

Please note that cancelled accounts cannot be restored. Traders who wish to re-register are advised to apply for a new account opening via OANDA Japan’s website. In that case, traders will need to submit identification documents again.
