IG Securities, the Japanese subsidiary of electronic trading major IG Group, today announced the addition of vanilla options to its lineup of investment instruments.

The broker said it believes that offering vanilla options will enable its customers to utilize a wider variety of trading strategies.

IG Japan is currently preparing vanilla options for individual stocks and CFDs on ETFs. The launch date will be announced separately.

Vanilla options are contracts that give you the right to buy or sell an asset at a certain price on a certain date. Their price is complex, affected by the underlying price, volatility, time until expiry and more. If you’re an experienced trader looking for opportunity in unique places, vanillas could be for you.
