Exclusive: New CySEC licensed CFDs broker Investing.one launching. FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that a newly-licensed Cyprus based CFDs broker called Investing.one is getting set to launch. The broker’s website at url investing.one is now up with a (humorously misspelled) “coming soon” page. Investing.one is being operated by a new company (established in 2022) called Tradeplace Ltd, which was recently granted a CIF licensed by Cyprus financial regulator CySEC. Investing.one / Tradeplace is formally headquartered in Cyprus, but it appears as if much of its operations and back office will be based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Exclusive: XTB major shareholder Jakub Zablocki cashes out (another) $194 million. FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned via regulatory filings made in Poland that XTB (WSE:XTB) co-founder and controlling shareholder Jakub Zablocki has sold another large block of his shares in the company. Via an accelerated book-building process held after markets closed on Monday (May 19), Mr. Zablocki’s holding company XX ZW Investment Group SA sold 9,405,540 XTB shares at a price of PLN 78 each, for total gross proceeds of PLN 733.6 million, or USD $194 million. The sale was managed by investment banks Santander and UBS.
Crypto.com buys CySEC CIF license to expand “traditional” instrument trading across Europe. Following our report from earlier today that rival Kraken was launching its regulated derivative products offering in Europe from its recently-acquired Cyprus CySEC licensed unit, crypto trading platform operator Crypto.com has announced that it had secured a Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) license after receiving approval of its acquisition of A.N. Allnew Investments Ltd from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

Germany’s BaFin to restrict trading in Turbos as retail losses top €3.4 billion. Germany’s financial regulator Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin) has announced that it plans to restrict the marketing, distribution, and sale of Turbo certificates to retail investors based in Germany. The regulator said that it will issue a general administrative order to this end, on which it is now consulting the affected market participants.
