FP Markets’ new IB and Partnership portal – a conversation with Kim Reilly
After reporting last month that Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker FP Markets had launched an upgraded and redesigned Introducing Broker (IB) portal, we thought it would be a good time to catch up with Kim Reilly, Project Management and Partner Operations Manager at FP Markets about the program, the state of affiliate marketing in the FX/CFDs world at large, and what’s to come in 2023.
Here is what she had to say.
FNG: Hi Kim, and thanks for joining us today. Please let us know a little more about the FP Markets IB program, and the new FP Markets IB Portal that you’ve launched.
Kim: Thank you, I am really pleased to be able to talk about the FP Markets IB program. We have an award-winning IB program that offers partners a volume-based rebate structure. The commissions are very competitive and we offer a variety of rebate structures on multiple platforms. There is lots of flexibility for our IBs as well as excellent marketing tools and support. The new portal compliments the program perfectly as it was designed directly around our partners feedback and with their reporting needs in mind.
FNG: FP Markets has had a successful IB program running for quite a long time. What’s new/different now with the new portal. What are the major changes you’ve made, and why?
Kim: We have completely redesigned the portal in terms of look, feel and the UX/UI interface. A new dashboard has been added which gives IBs a summary of their activity via charting and reports and allows them to quickly check on new IB registrations, understand which clients and IBs have been approved or are pending approval.
Trading activity reports give IBs a detailed report broken down by instrument traded giving another level of business intel. IBs can then customise their business according to their clients’ trends.
We have also added a brand new marketing tools section, this is a really exciting new feature. We will be continually developing marketing content, banners, widgets, and landing pages to maximise conversions.
FNG: The FX/CFDs brokerage business is a very competitive one, with many brokers offering IB and partnership programs. How do you see what you offer at FP Markets as being unique? What are your main selling points, when talking to a potential partner?
Kim: It is indeed very competitive, but we certainly have an edge over the competition.
In terms of being unique, we have a multitude of features such as the multi-tier/multi-level structure, lifetime rebates on introduced clients, alongside excellent pricing our traders are very happy with.
Our pricing is some of the best, if not the best in the industry. IBs know this and it makes our products that much easier to market.
We have a dedicated partners support team, which includes operational support so partners are really taken care of well. We help our partners grow and the team is there to build long-standing partnerships.
We offer flexibility for partners, with low entry barriers. There is also the added benefit of social trading which is very popular amongst IBs and clients.
FNG: Where do you see the most growth for the IB program, and for FP Markets in general? What regions are you most excited about?
Kim: We are currently in the process of becoming regulated in a number of new jurisdictions globally allowing us to reach a greater number of traders.
FNG: What else can we expect to hear from FP Markets in the coming months?
Kim: We are investing heavily in technology and there are a number of exciting developments to look out for including new apps, portals and the addition of 2 new trading platforms, new trading tools and educational resources (in addition to the new regulations mentioned already!).
