FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that leading Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker IC Markets has formed a new management team to drive its Australian operations, following the passing late last year of General Manager Ben Singleton.

The refreshed leadership team will be led by Peter Tardent (pictured above), who joins IC Markets as General Manager, Australia. Peter brings more than two decades of experience across trading, brokerage, and technology. He was most recently Enterprise Solutions Leader at broker technology provider ViewTrade, and previously served as General Manager, Sydney for IG Group. His earlier experience includes senior roles at JBWere, AUSIEX, and CommSec.

The company said that the new appointments reflect IC Markets’ renewed focus on its home market, and continued investment in strengthening its local leadership and operations.

Other recent senior hires at IC Markets in Australia include:

Gordon MacArthur – CFO. Gordon joins IC Markets from market maker Optiver, where he was Finance Manager, Australia. His background spans senior finance roles at Macquarie Group, Tibra Capital, HSBC, and PwC Australia.

Ajay Bhatia – Head of Compliance. Ajay brings extensive compliance and regulatory experience, having worked at CMC Markets, Axi, EML, UOB, and MoneyGram, as well as several major banking institutions. Most recently, he was MLRO and Senior Compliance Manager at ANNA Money.

Peter Murphy – Operational Risk Manager. Peter Murphy brings over 20 years of banking and operational risk experience to IC Markets from Deutsche Bank and UBS. He later joined Instinet, where he served as COO, Australia and Head of Operational Risk Management – Asia in Hong Kong.

Bao Huynh – Country Marketing Manger. Bao joins IC Markets from Allianz Retire+, where he led the digital marketing strategy for the life insurer. He previously served as the Marketing Director for institutional broker 26 Degrees (formerly Invast Global) and has also held roles at Morningstar, Perpetual Limited, and BBY Limited.

Constance Koullinos – Head of HR. Constance re-joins IC Markets from consulting firm Amplify HR, having previously served as HR Manager at IC Markets.

These new appointments join Brendan Ray, who heads up Operations for IC Markets in Australia, as the company continues to strengthen its local leadership team and position for further growth. Brendan joined IC Markets last year from FP Markets.
