eToro resolves issues with HK stocks trading
After nearly one day of problems with Hong Kong stocks trading, online broker eToro reports that the issue has been solved.
The broker confirmed the issues on January 11, 2022 by issuing the following notice:
“We are currently not receiving pricing from our liquidity providers for the following exchanges:
- Hong Kong – all stocks
- Euronext Paris – one stock $VLA.PA (Valneva SE)
- London – several stocks
As soon as the conditions change, the affected assets will be back available for investing”.
The status page of the broker showed the following message:
“Identified – Due to a technical issue on our 3rd party provider, some customers may experience trading failures in some HK stocks.
We are following the 3rd party provider status and will provide additional information as soon as possible.
We appreciate your understanding and apologise for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
The eToro Team

The problems sparked the anger of eToro clients who sought to vent off their discontent by threatening to switch brokers. Earlier today, some traders said they could finally trade HK stocks again.
After nearly 24 hours of problems, eToro said that the issues are resolved.
“Resolved – Dear eToro Customers and Partners,
The issue has been resolved.
We apologies for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Sincerely,
The eToro Team
