eToro extends front-of-shirt sponsorship of AS Monaco
Continuing its aggressive use of sports sponsorships, Retail FX and CFDs broker eToro has extended its agreement with Ligue 1 club AS Monaco into Europe, which will allow the global investment platform to be displayed on the front of the Principality club’s shirt in European play.
A member of the Rouge et Blanc family for the third consecutive year and the team’s main shirt sponsor since the 2021-2022 season, eToro said it is honored to support AS Monaco, who finished third in Ligue 1 Uber Eats last year, in their 2022-23 European campaign.
With the rich history of the club in European play, a competition which is a part of its DNA and where it has written its some its most beautiful stories, it is with pride that eToro will be displayed on the Monegasque jersey in the first leg of the Champions League third preliminary round against PSV Eindhoven, on August 2.
In addition, eToro – which recently cancelled its plans to go public via a SPAC merger – has also become a Training Kit partner of AS Monaco and has been displayed on players’ training outfits since the start of preseason.
Valérie Kalifa, Marketing Director France of eToro, said:
“The extension of this partnership extension is another important step in our collaboration with AS Monaco in Europe. We are pleased that our presence on the front of a jersey of a team who has qualified to play in European competitions is AS Monaco. We see this new opportunity as a unique opportunity to make all fans across Europe aware of online investing. This partnership is an important lever for the visibility and influence of our brand in Europe.”
Jean-Emmanuel de Witt, CEO of AS Monaco, added:
“We are delighted to continue to deepen our ties with eToro, an innovative and daring company, which, like AS Monaco, is constantly venturing into new territory. By intensifying this partnership, eToro is asserting itself more than ever as our preferred partner and confirms the growing attractiveness of AS Monaco. The progress made since the beginning of our common adventure in 2020 is significant and bears witness to our excellent collaboration. We hope to continue in this way for a long time to come, supporting each other in our development, and look forward to the exciting season ahead together.”
First visible on the sleeve of the AS Monaco Esports jersey during the 2020-2021 season, eToro had already reinforced its commitment alongside the Principality club by becoming its primary sponsor last year, being displayed on the front of the team’s jersey.
eToro said it will continue to work with AS Monaco to raise awareness among its supporters about responsible investment and support them in their access to financial markets. Today, eToro has an extensive international football sponsorship network including clubs from the Premier League, Bundesliga in Germany, and Serie A TIM in Italy.
