Warnings issued for offshore FX brokers RedfordFX and UMarkets
Continuing the string of warnings we have seen lately from national financial regulators about offshore FX brokers, the UK’s FCA and Spanish regulator CNMV have issued separate warnings about a number of such entities.
The UK’s latest warning is regarding UMarkets at website umarkets.com. UMarkets is not authorised by the FCA, and is targeting people in the UK. The FCA stated that UMarkets’ address is Beachmont Business Center, Suite 40, Kingstown, St Vincent & Grenadines. The company is listing a variety of telephone contact numbers in the UK, Belgium, the UAE and Belize including: +44 208 077 3052; +44 208 077 5393; +7 (495) 181 85 17; +3228080942; +971-65315252; +501-223-2099; +44 203 695 8926; +44 203 670 6439.
Contact emails the FCA has become aware of being given out by UMarkets include: support-en@umarkets.com; customers-en@umarkets.com; dispute@umarkets.net; valentynaefrem@umarkets.net; devids@umarkets.net; olgago@umarkets.net; ivyb@umarkets.net; andreym@umarkets.net.
In Spain, the CNMV issued a short statement, adding RedfordFX at website redfordfx.com to its list of unregistered entities in the country. RedfordFX’s website shows an Australia contact telephone number and address, but it is not regulated in that country either.
