Sumsub launches eSignature QES digital signature verification to enhance remote user onboarding
Verification and client onboarding solutions provider has announced that the company has launched its Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) Verification product. The innovative solution is designed to enhance security, compliance, and efficiency in remote user onboarding across the European Union and Norway, fully compliant with all national laws and eIDAS framework regulations.
Amid the rising demand for secure and efficient digital transactions, Sumsub’s QES Verification solution tackles key challenges in user onboarding and regulatory compliance. Designed for an increasingly remote and digitally connected world, the solution ensures seamless identity verification and assures the authenticity of electronic documents.
Key benefits of QES Verification:
- Compliance: ensures full compliance with national laws and eIDAS framework regulations, making it ideal for businesses operating across multiple EU countries.
- Cross-border acceptance: recognized and accepted in all EU member states and Norway, QES simplifies cross-border transactions and agreements.
- Efficiency and convenience: streamlines processes requiring document signing or face-to-face identification, saving time and resources.
- Cost reduction: offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional onboarding methods and face-to-face verifications.
- Legal recognition: provides the same legal standing as handwritten signatures, enabling legally binding digital transactions.
- Security: ensures the highest level of security with features such as encryption, user control, and tamper-evident mechanisms.
Julia Bonda, Business Development Director, Europe & UK at Sumsub, commented:
“Our QES solution is responding to the growing demand for secure digital verification methods in a landscape increasingly susceptible to fraud. This is a step forward in electronic signatures – with tamper-proof, traceable technology underpinned by world-class biometric verification.
“It provides our customers with a secure, compliant, and cost-efficient method of completing agreements remotely, from anywhere in the Continent, while remaining fully compliant with all relevant regulations. QES is an innovative answer to an age-old problem, bringing a much-needed solution to businesses.”
This technology is based on Sumsub’s ID capture and biometric verification processes, which ensure that a signature created on qualified signature creation devices (QSCD) can be uniquely linked to and capable of identifying the signatory. QES provides tamper-proof security to detect any changes made to the document after it’s signed.
