Russian c-bank confirms liquidation of Morgan Stanley Bank
The Central Bank of Russia today posted a brief notice about the liquidation of Morgan Stanley Bank.
The notice confirms that the liquidation of Morgan Stanley Bank LLC (registration number 3456) was entered in the State Registry of Business Entities. The entry was made on March 25, 2021, and confirmed by the central bank today.
Let’s recall that the Central Bank of Russia annulled the banking license of Morgan Stanley Bank on May 27, 2020. Morgan Stanley had submitted an application for the annulment of its license. The reason for the company’s application was its plan for voluntary liquidation.
The Central Bank said Morgan Stanley Bank had sufficient funds to satisfy the creditors’ demands.
Let’s note that, according to data from May 2020, Morgan Stanley Bank ranked 279th among Russian banks based on the size of their assets.
