Italy’s CONSOB orders blocking of six unauthorized investment websites, total reaches 1,366
Italy’s Companies and Exchange Commission (CONSOB) has ordered the blocking of access to six unauthorized investment websites.
The websites targeted by the latest set of orders are:
- “The Toro Global” (website https://thetoroglobal.com and related page https://client.thetoroglobal.com);
- “Finbridge International” (website www.finbridgeinter.com and related page https://webtrader.finbridgeinter.tech);
- “INCORE-INVFX”- “IncoreInvestment” (website https://incore-invfx.com and related page https://client.incore-invfx.com);
- “Coingridr.top” (website https://coingridr.top);
- “Gigtaskr” (website https://gigtaskr.top);
- “Sxr922” (website https://sxr922.it).
In issuing the orders, the regulator made use of the powers deriving from the “Decreto crescita” (“Growth Decree”, converted by Law No. 58 of 28 June 2019) and the MiCAR (Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 and Legislative Decree No. 129 of 5 September 2024).
The number of websites blacked out since July 2019, when Consob got the power to order that the websites of fraudulent financial intermediaries get blocked, has thus risen to 1,366. Last week, the regulator ordered the blocking of access to seven unauthorized websites.
The black-out of these websites by Internet service providers operating in Italy is ongoing. For technical reasons, it can take several days for the blocking to be implemented.
