FCA warns of Darwinex clone FastCryptoFX
UK financial regulator the FCA has issued a warning regarding a website called FastCryptoFX.com, also known as Fast Crypto FX, as a clone of FCA authorized firm Darwinex.
The fastcryptofx.com site seems to be down now, but when up showed the same address as social trading focused Darwinex, as well as claiming an FCA license and the license number (586466) of Darwinex’s parent company Tradeslide Trading Tech Limited. Some parts of the fastcryptofx website were also designed to look like the real Darwinex.com site.
FastCryptoFX seems to have been a site promoted by a few nefarious individuals on social platforms such as Instagram and Twitter, looking to lure clients with outlandish claims of easy profits in trading forex or in bitcoin mining.
The FCA stated that fraudsters are using or giving out the following details as part of their tactics to scam people in the UK:
FastCryptoFX.com / Fast Crypto FX (Clone of FCA authorised firm)
Telephone: +1 8187488053
Email: support@fastcryptofx.com
Website: www.fastcryptofx.com
The regulator said to be aware that scammers may give out other false details or mix these with some correct details of the registered firm. They may change contact details over time to new email addresses, telephone numbers or physical addresses.
