Dewet Moser to retire as Member of SNB Governing Board
SNB announced today that Dewet Moser, Alternate Member of the Governing Board, has chosen to retire early, in March 2024.
Dewet Moser, born in 1960, has been working at the Swiss National Bank since 1986. During what will be 38 years of service, he has performed a number of important roles.
In 1997, Dewet Moser was tasked with setting up the Risk Management unit at the SNB, which he led for some 10 years.
Since May 2007, Dewet Moser has been an Alternate Member of the Governing Board. In this function, he was entrusted for more than ten years with the operational management of Department III (Money Market and Foreign Exchange, Asset Management, Banking Operations, Information Technology and the Singapore branch office). His duties included in particular the implementation of monetary policy.
On 1 September 2018, Dewet Moser changed position to Deputy Head of Department II (Financial Stability, Cash, Accounting, Controlling, Risk Management as well as Operational Risk and Security), where he has since been responsible especially for the operational resilience of the financial sector and for ensuring the sustainable supply and distribution of cash.
As an Alternate Member of the Governing Board, Dewet Moser has for many years been involved in an advisory capacity in the decisions of the Governing Board.
