The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) today issued a warning against 11 entities that offer investment services without the necessary authorization.

The regulator cautions the public that the following websites belong to entities which do not have an authorization for the provision of investment services and/or the performance of investment activities, as provided for in Article 5 of Law 87 (I)/2017.

CySEC urges investors to consult its website (www.cysec.gov.cy), before conducting business with investment firms, in order to ascertain the entities, which are licensed to provide investment services and/or investment activities.

Please note that some of the above-mentioned websites belong to the so-called “clones”. Such entities are unregulated. They abuse the details (name, logo, etc) of authorized businesses in order to lure victims more easily. In reality, clones have nothing to do with the legitimate firms.
