CySEC extends ban on Otkritie CEO Igor Gutinskiy to 2027

Cyprus financial regulator CySEC has announced that regarding its previous decision to prohibit Igor Gutinskiy, sole Director of the CIF Otkritie Broker Ltd, from exercising management duties to the Board of Directors of the Company, that at its meeting on the 30th of March 2026, decided to grant an additional extension of 12 months to the entry into force of the said prohibition, until 11 April 2027.

Otkritie Broker Ltd operates the website open-broker.com, which caters mainly to Russian language clients. It is a unit of Russian financial services company OTKRITIE Financial Corporation, and has held a CySEC CIF license since 2016.

Igor Gutinskiy was first banned from exerting influence on Otkritie Broker Ltd by CySEC back in 2023, for two years, and the ban has now been extended several times.
