TradingView releases new version of TradingView Desktop, adding Screener and Heatmap
TradingView today announced a new version of TradingView Desktop adding Screener, Heatmap, Breaking News and Snaps. This is version 1.0.15 and it is already available for download (check out About in Settings).
You can link a chart and a screener opened in different tabs and/or windows (right-click tab headers and set the same color tag for them). Now selecting an asset on the screener will show its chart in another window. Heavy users of Screener are going to find this very helpful and time-saving, especially those having a multi-monitor setup on their desk.
Features and improvements in this release include:
- Tiles for screeners, heatmaps, breaking news, and snaps on new tab
- Keyboard navigation in Settings
Bug fixes
- App not restoring all windows after update
- Tab linking between chart and screener not working
- Credentials not saved for Tradier and Dorman Trading & other Auto-fill issues
- Symbol/interval replaced with ones from previous layout when switching layout in tab
- Wrong font in search bar on New tab & no character limit
- Changing locale reverting Zoom setting
- Tab bar not appearing when scaling is not default on Linux
- Detached tab overlapped by system buttons when dragging it on macOS
- Closing alert popup not stopping its sound on Linux
- Button Browse jumping up on tab switching in Settings
- Checkboxes flickering in Settings
- Color theme options not look good with AR & HE locales in Settings
TradingView Desktop grew out of the beta phase and reached a stable release in December 2021. The solution is regularly updated. In June, for instance, the platform was equipped with in-app theme management and customizable tabs.
