TradingView introduces trading in Replay mode
TradingView introduces its newest feature — trading in Replay mode. The Bar Replay widget has its own buy/sell buttons for this.
- This is a trading mode separate from Paper Trading and data on transactions — the overall result is available only in the session itself.
- Market orders are available with execution at the price you see, no choice of quantity. For Forex, the default quantity is 1000, for all other types of symbols it is 1.
- The currency of p/l corresponds to symbol currency.
- Trading is available immediately after selecting the starting point in the Replay, trading is not possible when paused.
- If at least one trade is made, trading mode is considered to be activated in the Replay.
- Trading in the Replay is optional, if there are no deals, it will simply end as a regular Replay.
- Replay with trading ends with a pop-up displaying the result of trading in this session.
TradingView regularly updates its functionalities. To make it easier for traders to understand when a continuous futures contract switches, TradingView has added Contract Switching icons to charts.
These icons represent the switching dates for continuous futures contracts. Switching occurs on the trading day following the expiration day of the futures contract.
