Saxo plans set of changes to its OpenAPI
Multi-asset investment specialist Saxo Bank has announced a set of planned changes to its OpenAPI.
Saxo plans to axe the functionality to remove subscriptions by tag. The change is set to be implemented in April 2026.
On the endpoint:
root/v1/subscriptions/{ContextId}
Saxo will be removing the Tag query parameter. After the deadline, if this endpoint is called with the Tag query parameter, the endpoint will return a 400 error.
Also, from March 2026, Saxo plans the removal of legacy TLS ciphers.
To ensure that communication with Saxo’s APIs is properly secured, Saxo will stop accepting the following legacy ciphers from March 2026:
ECDHE-RSA-AES256-SHA384
ECDHE-RSA-AES128-SHA256
ECDHE-RSA-AES256-SHA
ECDHE-RSA-AES128-SHA
Instead Saxo recommends that your application supports the following ciphers:
ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384
ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256
TLS-AES-256-GCM-SHA384
TLS-AES-128-GCM-SHA256
Finally, Saxo is moving address of websocket streaming from December 2025.

The underlying architecture supporting websocket streaming is being upgraded. As a result, Saxo has released a new address used for the websocket connection and re-authorization.
The newly released domain and addresses are already available on simulation and live.
