Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade services provider, and Azimut, an independent global group specializing in asset management across public and private markets and wealth management, have partnered to develop a new digital solution for private market funds.

The collaboration addresses key challenges in the private market space, focusing on enhancing transparency, improving operational efficiency, and offering broader market access to reach new investors. The new digital solution is an extension to Clearstream’s automated fund processing platform, Vestima.

The partnership with Azimut leverages Clearstream’s expertise in alternative fund processing as well as its digital capabilities through its DLT-based platform, FundsDLT. Combined with Azimut’s experience and presence in the private market space, this collaboration delivers a digital solution tailored to market needs.

Through the application of FundsDLT technology, the new service brings greater transparency by providing detailed, regular reporting and asset servicing and offers a new account model for accessing multiple investor portfolios under a single Clearstream Custody account. The solution enables Azimut to access anonymized, detailed insights into the portfolios of individual investors.

The digital solution, currently being piloted by Azimut and Clearstream, streamlines the distribution and execution of private market products by automating processes, reducing costs, and providing access to a wide fund repository. It also facilitates the distribution of private market products to a more diverse investor base, including wealth management distribution channels.
