FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that FCA regulated FX and CFDs broker Global Market Index Limited (GMI UK) has hired Zaid Alkhatib as the company’s new Head of Operations and Compliance, pending FCA approval.

Mr. Alkhatib is replacing Mohammed Omayer in that role, with Mr. Omayer leaving the company. In a parallel move Mr. Omayer stepped off the board of the licensed entity Global Market Index Limited, where he was also acting as company secretary.

Zaid Alkhatib joins GMI UK from CySEC-licensed broker FXVC (Centralspot Trading Ltd), where he was Head of Operations. Prior to FXVC Mr. Alkhatib was in various senior operations roles with fintech provider Finstek, and FX brokers Windsor Brokers and Orbex, where he was COO in 2016-2017.

GMI UK is an institutional brokerage firm offering STP execution for B2B and professional clients. GMI UK provides customised liquidity and technology solutions, in a low latency environment, for Banks, Brokers, Hedge Funds and Financial Institutions. GMI UK clients can execute trades via MT4, MT5 and FIX API.
