Thomas Chippas to step down from Argo Blockchain CEO role
Argo Blockchain plc (LON:ARB) announced today that Thomas Chippas is stepping down from his positions as Chief Executive Officer and Director effective 28 February 2025.
Argo intends to engage an executive search firm to assist with the process of selecting a new Chief Executive Officer.
In the interim, the Board has appointed Jim MacCallum, current Chief Financial Officer, as interim-Chief Executive Officer.
Matthew Shaw, Chairman of the Board, said:

Thomas Chippas is a New York-based executive with significant experience in digital assets, technology and financial services. Prior to joining Argo in November 2023, he served as Chief Executive Officer of CBOE Digital and was a former member of its Board of Directors. He has previously held the positions of Chief Executive Officer at Citadel Technology LLC, Chief Operating Officer at Axoni and Managing Director at Citigroup, Barclays and Deutsche Bank. He also serves as a director of TS Imagine.
