Nicholas Winsor to retire as Independent Non-Exec Director of Metro Bank
Metro Bank announced today that Nicholas Winsor will retire as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the company, having served on the Board since April 2020.
Nicholas Winsor does not intend to seek re-election by shareholders and will stand down immediately prior to the Company’s Annual General Meeting.
As well as independent Non-Executive Director, he is the Designated Non-Executive Director for Colleague Engagement (DNED).

Mr Winsor is Chair of Schroder Oriental Income Limited and a member of its Nomination and Remuneration, Audit and Risk, and Management Engagement committees. He is also a Senior Independent Director of the States of Jersey Development Company, Chair of its Remuneration and Nomination Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee; and a non-executive director for Bankers Without Boundaries Connect Singapore PTE Ltd.
Nick Winsor has more than 35 years of international banking experience with HSBC Group in a number of markets: Brunei; Channel Islands; Hong Kong; India; Japan; Qatar; Singapore; Taiwan; United Arab Emirates and the UK. He was awarded an MBE for services to the community in the Queen’s 2020 Birthday Honours List.
He holds a Masters in Physics from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
