Monex to change its management structure to one-person Representative Executive Officer system
Tokyo-based online trading company Monex Group, Inc. today announced that its Board of Directors has resolved to make changes to its management structure.
After appointing Oki Matsumoto as the Company’s Representative Executive Officer & Chairman and Yuko Seimei as Representative Executive Officer and President & Chief Executive Officer on June 24, 2023, the company has achieved measures for the sustainable and long-term growth of the Group, including a capital and business alliance with NTT DOCOMO, Inc., a share acquisition of a Canadian crypto asset management company 3iQ Digital Holdings Inc., as well as the Nasdaq-listing in the U.S. of Monex’s subsidiary, Coincheck Group, N.V.
As the management succession from Oki Matsumoto, the founder, to Yuko Seimei is progressing smoothly, Monex has decided to change its management structure to a one-person Representative Executive Officer system with the intention of steadily promoting its group business and making further advancement by fully transitioning to a management structure led by Yuko Seimei, Representative Executive Officer and President & CEO.
After April 1, 2025, Oki Matsumoto will continue to contribute to the enhancement of the Monex Group’s corporate value through his roles within the Group, including Executive Chairman of Coincheck Group N.V., a NASDAQ-listed subsidiary in the U.S., and Chairman & Member of the Board of Japan Catalyst, Inc.
