Jason Lalor to lead Barclaycard Payments acceptance business
Barclays and Brookfield have announced the appointment of Jason Lalor as CEO to lead the Barclaycard Payments acceptance business.
This appointment follows the announcement in April, of a long-term strategic partnership between Barclays and Brookfield to accelerate the transformation of the Barclaycard Payments business.
Mr Lalor brings with him deep experience from across the financial services and Fintech sectors. He’s driven transformational growth within complex global organisations like Mastercard, Conferma and Square, built successful commercial partnerships, and has a strong track record of leading growth, driving transformation and building customer-centric businesses at scale. He joins Barclays at a pivotal moment as the organisation accelerates its next phase of development.
With a wealth of industry knowledge Mr Lalor is widely respected for combining strategic clarity with disciplined execution. Throughout his career, he has championed innovation whilst maintaining a strong focus on people, trust, resilience and long-term value creation.
Jason Lalor’s role began with Barclays on 28 January.
