IG Singapore CEO Gavin Chia moves to Longbridge
Online broker Longbridge has announced that the company has hired Gavin Chia as Singapore and Regional CEO, Southeast Asia.
At Longbridge, Gavin will oversee operations across Singapore and Southeast Asia, with a focus on regional strategy, product localisation, regulatory alignment, and team building as the company continues to scale its AI driven investing platform.
Gavin Chia brings more than 18 years of experience in financial services. He previously served as CEO of Moomoo Singapore, where he led the business from inception to become one of the country’s leading retail brokerages. Gavin most recently served as CEO of IG Group Singapore, a role he took on less than a year ago.
Gavin said of his new role at Longbridge,
“I believe the future of investing lies at the intersection of technology, product innovation, and user experience. An Al-first brokerage should embed Al across the entire client journey to simplify complexity, enable personalised insights at scale, and support more informed decisions in real time. Ultimately, investing should become more intuitive, data-driven and accessible, with technology augmenting human judgement.”
His appointment comes as Longbridge builds momentum in Singapore, following key milestones including securing a Capital Markets Services license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and expanding its local presence.
First established in 2019 in Hong Kong and Singapore, Longbridge is a next-generation brokerage platform providing digital investment services across global markets. Longbridge holds 22 financial regulatory licenses or qualifications across regions, including the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.
