IG Group service centres head Tomasz Horaček departs
FNG has learned that longtime IG Group executive and its Head of Global Service Centres, Tomasz Horaček, has left the company.
Based in Krakow, Poland, Tomasz was responsible for all of IG’s Service Centres which are located in India, Poland and South Africa, and which account for approximately 50% of IG’s overall headcount. (Like many UK and EU based CFDs brokers, as well as other financial firms, IG outsources numerous functions to lower cost countries.)
Prior to first joining IG in 2020 as Head of IG Poland, Tomasz previously worked for seven years at State Street as Managing Director – Head of Business Services in Poland. He has also previously worked at HSBC and Capgemini.

🚀 End of an incredible journey at IG Group
After 4.5 truly rewarding years, I’m bidding farewell to IG Group. Reflecting on this period, I feel an immense sense of pride in what we’ve built together— a truly global service services organization that spans across borders and brings together the best talent from Poland, India, South Africa, the UK, and beyond. IG is a special place where I’ve experienced the true power of diversity working alongside people from different cultures, functions and backgrounds, learning from each other, and growing together.
It has been a challenging yet inspiring journey.
My team navigated through turbulent times, from the pandemic to the war in Ukraine, multiple record operational trading peaks (i.e. GameStop day), to natural disasters like floods and heatwaves. But through it all, our resilience and team spirit have been our greatest strength. The bonds we’ve forged and the obstacles we’ve overcome make us stronger, both individually and as a team.
I’ve had the incredible opportunity to shape the company’s strategy and contribute to the development of future leaders—something I am especially proud of. Over the years, we’ve transformed our technology organization, implemented our first AI-driven solutions, launched internal marketing agency, and created a more client-centric environment by listening to client feedback and providing targeted product training. We also embraced a culture of process excellence, building a Lean continuous improvement mindset that eliminated bureaucracy and fostered ongoing learning. In addition, we introduced a new hybrid working model that blends the best of both worlds, allowing flexibility while maintaining collaboration and productivity.

Last but not least, a big thank you to my team in Krakow for organizing such a fantastic farewell party earlier in 2024 – it was the perfect way to close this chapter and celebrate the memories we’ve created together.
As I move on to the next chapter, I’ll carry with me the lessons, memories, and friendships that have made this journey unforgettable.
