Exclusive: Lunaro hires Tickmill exec Jonnie Taylor to head Futures sales
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that CFDs broker Lunaro has hired experienced industry executive Jonnie Taylor, as Head of Futures Sales.
Jonnie Taylor, who is based in London, joins Lunaro after spending the past four years at Tickmill, where he served as Global ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) Partnership Manager, responsible for growing Tickmill’s Futures and Options business through strategic partnerships and other initiatives. Jonnie had also previously worked at Saxo Bank UK, GH Financials, RBC, and StoneX, where he worked under current Lunaro CEO Nick Spencer-Skeen.
Lunaro rebranded from APM Capital last year, after UAE based broker APM acquired BUX UK, the FCA regulated unit of Amsterdam based neobroker BUX, following BUX’s acquisition by ABN Amro. Lunaro / APM was founded in 2021 as a UAE based CFDs broker by Indian entrepreneur Disha Rajdev, who holds a controlling interest in the company.
Jonnie posted the following note on social media regarding his move to Lunaro.
Today marks my last day at Tickmill UK. In an increasingly competitive space, I’m proud of what we achieved over the last few years on the futures side of the business, and I’m grateful to the team and clients who were part of that journey.
As for what’s next — a couple of weeks with the family, and then I’m delighted to be joining Lunaro as Head of Futures Sales in London. With the ETD space booming, it’s an exciting time to be joining a firm with full exchange and platform coverage. I look forward to hitting the ground running with Joshua Owen, Nick Spencer-Skeen and the wider team next month!
As the weather attempts to warms up, I look forward to catching up with my network in The City.
