Exclusive: Trading 212 Chairman Andrew Bole joins board of Britannia Global
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Andrew Bole, the (Non-Executive) Chairman of online broker Trading 212, has joined the board of another FCA licensed multi-asset trading firm, Britannia Global Markets Limited.
Britannia Global Markets is a multi-asset brokerage offering execution, give-ins and give-ups, custody, and clearing services for a range of financial products to institutions, corporations and UHNWs. (Whereas Trading 212 focuses on a more retail trader client base, so there isn’t too much overlap market-wise between the two).
Britannia offers access to major worldwide derivative markets including Stock Indices, Interest Rates, Precious and Base Metals, Agriculturals, Energies, Financials, Spot and Forward Foreign Exchange and Equities. The company is a member of the London Stock Exchange, the London Metal Exchange (LME) and the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange. Britannia Global Markets is part of Britannia Financial Group, controlled by Venezuelan/Italian banker Julio Herrera Velutini.
Andrew Bole was the Chief Risk Officer (or CRO) at UK industry leading online brokerage IG Group (LON:IGG) for 15 years, from 2000-2015. After leaving IG he joined prime broker GPP Group as the company’s COO. In 2018 he joined Schroders Personal Wealth as Head of Process, leaving in September 2020. As noted above, Andrew Bole became a non-executive board member and Chair at Trading 212 UK Limited in late 2020, as was also exclusively reported at the time by FNG.
