FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that longtime IG Group (LON:IGG) and tastytrade executive James Rutter has departed the company.

James Rutter, who is based in London, had been with IG Group since 2014. James entered the company as a Graduate Trainee before a series of promotions led to him being named Head of Operations at IG in 2019, Head of Business Development in 2020, and then Deputy Group Chief of Staff in 2021, where he was responsible for driving the TopCo/ExCo agenda through secondments onto strategic projects at IG at direction of the Group CEO.

After IG Group acquired US based futures and options brokerage tastytrade for $1 billion in 2021, James slotted over to help with tastytrade’s international expansion, first as Commercial Lead and then earlier this year he was named Head of tastytrade International, driving further UK adoption and international expansion of tastytrade’s US-listed equities, options and futures offering, and Leading new non-UK international launches and growing the UK business through driving improvements across CX, marketing and other areas.
