Exclusive: Former Zodia CEO John Cronin launching new institutional crypto platform
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that John Cronin, the former CEO of Standard Chartered-backed institutional digital assets platform Zodia Custody, is set to launch a new (but yet unnamed) institutional crypto platform.
John Cronin spent the past four and a half years as CEO of Zodia Custody, which under his leadership has become a leading institutional player in digital asset custody, before leaving Zodia earlier this year. He was previously COO of digital asset management platform 1Alts. For more than 20 years, John was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, holding leadership positions in Advisory Services.
In a post on LinkedIn John explained,
Garden leave done and back in the game!
I’ve stepped into a new role as Global CEO, building an institutional platform for digital assets – addressing the banking gap by combining fiat rails, custody and execution within a regulated framework.
Our aim is simple: one global partner across traditional and digital asset workflows.
We’re focused on supporting institutional participants across the ecosystem, including:
• Funds and ETP providers
• Stablecoin issuers
• Exchanges and trading venues
• Payment and digital asset infrastructure firmsI’ll be at Consensus next week and look forward to reconnecting.
More to follow shortly 😊.
